Terms & Conditions

Scuba Diving courses and trips may be cancelled or rescheduled, at the last minute, due to the weather not being suitable for our activity.

High waves, strong currents or wind.

Dive sites are chosen every day depending on weather and ocean conditions, your security and the wellbeing of our staff is fundamental for us.

On the off chance that you asked for a site inaccessible because of weather we will do our best to find another option for you.

Juara Scuba Academy will attempt to stick to the agenda, yet claim all authority to change the schedule or cancel the excursion.

Our instructors / divemasters decide about the dive sites and/or cancellation of trips.

General conditions

We depart at 8.30am on all our boat day trips

You must bring your certification card and up to date logbook with you

If you have lost your certification card please contact your certifying agency to ask for a replacement.

On Scuba Diving or Snorkeling trips each participant is responsible for all equipment supplied to them by our dive centre.

Any damage or loss will be result in a customer charge, a receipt for repair/purchase of replacement item can be provided on request

We recommend that you wait 12 hours, after 1 dive, and 18+ hours, for multiple dives, before taking a commercial flight

Our price list is done in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR)

Cancelation Policy

Fees will be charged as follows for cancellations of day trips and courses by customers

Any deposits and forward payments are 100% non-refundable

Cancellations on the day of a trip or course, will be charged 100% of the agreed price.

If cancellations are made, 21 days before your booking date, we will credit your deposit and any balance payments, redeemable against the same package rebooked within 12 months of the date of your original booking.
In the event of the Malaysian government implementing an interstate travel ban we will credit your total deposit, and any balance payment made, towards a future booking with Juara Scuba Academy, up to a maximum of 12 months from the start of your original booking.

No refunds are available in case of illness, missed dive trips, or shortening of your stay. This includes seasickness, migraines and other illness’ that may occur during your stay

Please ensure that you have valid travel insurance that covers this eventuality.

If a customer books a multiple day package and decides to cancel partially or fully they will still be charged in full for the package.

Rain, wind and cloudy weather are not legitimate reasons for cancellation by client, if you still choose to cancel you will be charged full price for the missed activity.

Only staff members can decide if a trip or course will be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

If JSA is forced to cancel any part of your course or dive package, due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, then a refund or credit of the missed trip will be offered.

This does not apply to personal accommodation or travel costs.

Some excursions have a minimum PAX to run, if minimum PAX are not reached or drop outs happen, trips may be changed at the last minute. Partial refunds maybe offered where applicable

Reimbursements will be decided by JSA on an individual basis and reserve the rights to decide on the refund policy.

The excursion is pending until the minimum participant book. We will try to look for an alternative, if we are unsuccessful to do so a full refund of deposit less transaction fee will be issued.

We will study each cancellation independently and may reimburse the deposit all or partially less administration fee. Juara Scuba Academy reserve the right to make no refund of the deposit

Certification Courses

When you enrol in one of our Scuba Diving courses you are not simply buying a certification, but instead you are paying for the training needed to fulfil the requirements of completion for the course. With this in mind it is conceivable to fail, if students are unable to complete the course requirements, in these cases you will not qualify for a refund.
